About Us

Introduction

Established in 2015, Women in ECE (WinECE) is an organization dedicated to supporting the women in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. WinECE is open to students of any gender who are earning their bachelors, masters, or doctoral degrees. Semester dinners, social/professional gatherings, and company meet-and-greets are a few of the events WinECE plans every year.

What We Do

WinECE hosts a variety of social events throughout the academic year. This includes our annual Fall and Spring Dinners, our Intro to Labs event for incoming freshman, our Donut Stress event to give members a little treat during midterms, our Bond with Boba event, and many more. Members are able to make friendly connections within the ECE department, gain support from peers, and also have fun!

WinECE also collaborates with various companies (such as Apple, NVIDIA, Jane Street, etc.) to bring members engaging events to expand their network and aid in their professional development. CMU and WinECE alumni may also be present at some events to share their journeys. We understand the importance of creating professional connections and aim to provide as many opportunities as possible to our members.
